Stefano
The beating heart of Dophix—that’s why we call him “the beautiful mind.”
Musical passion and technical rigor coexist in his approach to design, giving life to pedals that merge engineering precision with emotional depth.
To know him is to understand why every effect has such a powerful impact on stage: behind it all lies an authentic obsession for detail and the perfection of tone.

I started building my first effects when I was just a kid. I was searching for an authentic sound—one capable of capturing every vibration that travels from the guitar to the amplifier.
Too many pedals flatten the instrument’s character; I wanted the exact opposite.
My engineering background led me to obsess over every detail, creating products that exceed standards and provide a unique sonic identity to every musician.
When a pedal makes you feel the sound in your gut, and not just in your ears… that’s when you know you’ve found the one.

In the ’80s, music took hold of me. That’s when I started playing in Florentine bands, searching for effects capable of capturing the emotions I felt.
I spent years discovering, importing, and testing pedals from all over the world, but I never quite found what I was looking for.
Meeting Stefano was the spark.
That was the beginning of the journey that gave life to Dophix. That’s how the idea was born: to create something of our own, designed and built by hand.

What I am about to tell you might amaze you. I don’t play any instrument and I don’t sing. It seems strange, doesn’t it? However, I think this is precisely what allows me to contribute to the development of the DOPHIX® brand. I take part in the creation of each effect going beyond the sound it creates. Each DOPHIX® pedal belongs to a trilogy that tells a story, brings us straight in a narrative path, as well as sound. This is the distinctive element of our products. A pedal has its own personality and is not just a simple technical device. The David, for example, embodies the heroic personality of the character who bears his own name. My job is to have these stories stand out through graphics, images and other tools of communication. he first visual impact is the key to communicate the character of the sound for each effect. I follow the musicians during their concerts. I’m excited to hear the music they create thanks to our effects. Every time is a different sound experience. It fills me with pride to know that they are happy to share the stage with the DOPHIX® trilogies, to bring the public into a sea storm with Neptune or to descend into the hell of rock.
